The technicians at the Delos Company in Greece were asked to solve a leaking problem with an indoor swimming pool at a house in Athens. The concrete and tile pool was located directly above the house’s boiler room, and leaked about 200 liters of water daily.
The crew began by removing the tiles and decayed concrete, then cleaning all of the surfaces and carefully removing the glues. When the surfaces were completely dry, they coated the pool with WEST SYSTEM® 105 Resin and 206 Slow Hardener. Then they filled and faired the surfaces with a mixture of 105/206, Portland cement and 406 Colloidal Silica. To finish the job, they applied two coats of 105/206 with Barrier Coat Additive.
After 10 days, they filled the pool with water. It no longer leaked.
